Pack 3300 is Chartered by the Fort Island School PTA with the Great Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America. The Pack is located in the Old Portage District of the Great Trail Council. 2012 marks the 24th year the Pack has been Chartered with the Council.
The Cub Scout Program is for boys in 1st to 5th grade and it is a FUN and active way to instill core values and build leadership skills. The program has rank advancement goals each year and many opportunities to earn awards for skills and acheivements. See "Cub Scouts Beliefs" Page for more information on the Cub Scout Program. See Pack 3300 2011-12 Program of Events below.
The program is family friendly and many of the planned activities are family inclusive. The Pack encourages strong family participation whenever possible.
Our overall goal is to see the boys have FUN while learning these lifelong skills.
FUN activities include field trips, hikes, campouts, campfires, skits, songs, fishing, supervised archery and b-b guns, and many more outdoor activities as well as building rockets and pinewood derby cars.
FUN summertime activities are planned as well - see 2011 listing in attachment below.
The program encourages strong parental participation and bonding with your son to reinforce skills and lessons learned. The Pack's success is reliant upon the efforts of our adult volunteers.
The Pack Meets Monthly - Usually on the first Friday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Fort Island School gym during the school year.
The Pack Meeting is a gathering of all Dens and families.
Den Meetings are typically held twice per month during the school year.
Dens are groups of 6 to 10 boys that are in the same grade. See Den leader contact information in attachment below.
The Pack typically has a total of 40 to 50 boys.
The Boy Scouts of America sets Quality Standards for all Units. Our Pack achieved Quality Unit status in all years of the Centenial Quality Unit Program (2007-2010). Our program this year is focused on acheiving "Gold" status in the new Journey to Excellence Quality Unit Program. See Journey To Excellence Quality Unit Standards Attached Below.
